Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” –Mark 16:17-18
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is still for today. Two women we had never seen before showed up to our Kingdom Builders group tonight and both women experienced miracles. Both women had demons and the demons were cast out and the women got delivered. One of the women got baptized in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. She received 2 miracles tonight. Some people claim there is no evidence of people speaking in tongues earlier in time, but Pastor Lane told a different story tonight.
Throughout church history, there are many accounts of miracles and people being carried away in the Spirit long after the apostles died, but very early in church history also. There is plenty of recorded church history about early Christians speaking in tongues, even in 300 AD and before. There is records of the gift of tongues in the 1300s.
In the 1600s, Martin Luther was a prophet and he spoke in tongues, he is the one who brought to light the just live by faith, not by works. The pope wanted it to be by works. Martin Luther began translating the Bible into German, then the printing press was invented and the Bible started to be placed in the hands of the common people. Before that, religion controlled the Bible, they told people what is in the Bible and how to interpret it.
One of the miracles that came from Martin Luther speaking in tongues and having faith in God is the ability for us to have our own Bibles and study our own Bibles and interpret our own Bibles. God still does miracles today! God has always had a people and His miracles are still being done today.
The Pentecostal movement is the largest growing movement in the world today. There are 1 billion Holy Spirit filled Pentecostals worldwide today! The world wants you to think there are not many of us, but there are around 1 billion of us speaking in tongues in the world today! Pentecostal in not a denomination, Pentecostal is an experience, an experience with God.
One woman got the Holy Spirit all over her tonight, so much so that she fell out in the Spirit. She got the gift on tongues tonight also!
One woman had lower back pain since she was a teenager and Jesus miraculously healed her tonight, she has no more pain, her pain is completely gone!
The Holy Spirit prays for you, with you, about you. The Holy Spirit knows your heart and He knows the perfect will of God. Praying in tongues is the most perfect prayer you can pray, it is a miracle, and it is the Holy Spirit praying to God for you.
