When The Holy Spirit Breaks The Protocol – Acts 10:44-48

Scripture: Acts 10:44-48

One of the worst things believers can do is to limit and restrict the way God can move by His Spirit. If you want to get dry, if you want to stop the move of God in your life, then you contain the Holy Spirit to your culture, your ways.

When God Breaks The Protocol

He is God. He is God all by Himself and He can move any way He wants to move.

If you look at Revival history, God moves in new ways. He’s looking for new wine, He’s looking for people to say, “God we don’t care how You do it. It is not about our preference, but just give us Your presence, Amen!” Hallelujah!

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision [Jews] who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Then Peter answered,  “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days. –Acts 10:44-48

Once you start researching about the Holy Spirit, you will understand that He has a personality. You can resist Him. The Bible says you can quench Him, He has emotions.

We understand this, that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith needs a moment. It’s one thing to have faith on the inside of you, but you have to give God a moment to release that faith and we understand that almost everything in the Kingdom of God is connected to Faith right now.

If you’ve been praying to be baptized in the Holy Spirit for 40 years and never been filled, come on, God wants you filled tonight, right now!

You can be saved today, amen, the same thing with healing. We are healed by His stripes. Jesus said many times the Lord healed you because of your faith, you receive that healing with faith.

The gift of the Holy Ghost also was poured out on gentiles.

I want to preach on this subject tonight, when God breaks the protocol.

God we want the anointing because we want Jesus we want the healing because we want Jesus.

We want the gifts of the Holy Ghost because we want to see Jesus in a greater way.

Father we thank you for Your Spirit we thank you for what you’ve already done in this room help us as we preach the gospel. God, we want the anointing because we want Jesus.

Peter was the first to stand up on the day of Pentecost and Peter was the first to proclaim the gospel under the power of the Holy Spirit. I think it’s safe to say that Peter was a man that was set on fire.

Father we thank you for Your Spirit we thank you for what you’ve already done in this room help us as we preach the gospel. God, we want the anointing because we want Jesus. We want healing because we want Jesus.

When God Breaks The Protocol

Let’s focus on Peter for a moment here tonight. Peter was a part of the inner circle of Jesus. Peter was called the rock that others could lean on. Peter was the bold disciple. The Bible says Peter was the man that denied Jesus. Peter was the man that would stand up on the day of Pentecost and be the first to proclaim the gospel under the power of the Holy Spirit. I think it’s safe to say that Peter was a man that was set on fire.

Peter and John, the Bible says, would go and they would lay their hands on newly converted Samaritan people and they would be filled with the Holy Spirit. If anybody had figured out how God moved in the Spirit, it was Peter.

If you do this or if you pray this way or if you’re in this area and you lay hands on people this way and you say this prayer then the Holy Ghost will move. That’s what I’m trying to say.

Protocol means the official procedure or system of rules. Protocol means it has to happen in this rigid particular way or it’s not going to work right.

That is one of the worst things believers can do is to limit and restrict the way God can move by His Spirit.

If you want to get dry, if you want to stop the move of God in your life, then you contain the Holy Spirit to your culture, your ways.

Imagine…
