So we’re going to be in Matthew 10:16-20 tonight if we could stand for the reading of the Word, if you’re able.

He’s got Matthew 10:16-20.
Be reading out of the new King James Version tonight. Verse 16 says behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, but ye therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the councils and they will scourge you in their synagogues, and ye shall be brought before governors and kings. For my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak.
For it will be given to you in that same hour, what ye shall speak for. It is not ye that speak, but the spirit of your father which speaketh in you. I’ll be focusing on verse 20 tonight if we could all read that together.
For it is not ye that speak, but the spirit of your father which speaketh in you the title of my message. Tonight is who speaks in you.
We can all pray tonight, Father. I thank you for your love and your mercy tonight. Lord, I thank you for the anointing and the power that is in this house. Lord, I pray tonight that you would pour out your anointing and your spirit would move across this place. Lord, I pray that they do not see me up here behind this pulpit. But they see you working through me. They see you speaking through me. Lord, if there is any needs that need met.
Tonight I pray that you would meet them in the and Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Does God Fully Speak In You? – Matthew 10:20

In our text tonight, we find Jesus talking to his disciples, giving them instructions to.
Not take any thought of what they need to say or do.
He warns them not to worry about what they will eat, what they will drink.
Or where they will stay while they’re on their journeys.
He goes on to tell them that they will suffer greatly and be beaten in his namesake.
Think about that for a second. Here is somebody like Jesus who has done miracles in front of the disciples and has called them to follow him.
And then one day he turns around and says.
In mind, because you have decided to follow me.
You will suffer greatly.
That says.
I can imagine following a a mighty man like Jesus and then him turning to me one day and saying you will be beaten and you will suffer greatly.

Because you chose to follow me.

He got Jesus tells them these things because he doesn’t want them to worry about getting beaten about, knowing what they will eat, about, where they shall stay, about knowing what they will say.

He goes on to explain to his disciples that they are going to suffer many things, but the key word in the text is not to worry. There’s one saying in the Bible that has repeated 365 times and it says do not be afraid.

What Jesus wanted his disciples to understand that if anyone is going to do his will and obey, they must deny themselves and take up their own cross to follow him.

How many have denied their cross and and tonight for Jesus laid it down at his feet and said I will do anything of what it costs to follow you. I don’t care what it costs me.

I will lay it all at your feet.

And I will follow you because I believe in something supernatural that I may not be able to see.

But I can see it working through others. See miracles in front of my eyes. Cancer disappear in this very church. We’ve seen cancer disappear. Lumps the size of golf balls and bigger disappear.

People that have been that have wanted to do horrible things to our pastor comes to the altar to do it.

Cannot go through with it because the power of God filled him. Something supernatural to lay down at his feet. The Bible says every tongue, every knee will bow down and every tongue will confess that he is the Lord.

It doesn’t matter what is inside of you what you think.

You can you can do, but you can never run away from Jesus. He will always follow you. You can may sin your entire life and on your deathbed.

He wants us to know if we’re going to follow him, we must have a relationship with him.

He knows what you will go through before you go through it. He sets certain tests your way because he know you.

He’s not gonna give you a battle that you can’t overcome.

We must deny ourselves and take up our own cross in life and lay down our.

Our expectations, our dreams and whatever else stands in the way so that we can fully surrender it to God.

We’ve got to lay down our frustrations, our worries, our burdens, our heart breaks and pain at his feet and leave it there. And don’t pick up those same worries that you left at his feet.

If you have already laid it at his feet, there is no need to go back.

That sin has been forgiven. That battle you have won. There’s no reason to backtrack.

You’ve got to understand tonight that if you do not lay it down at his feet and fully submit to the Lord that he will never be able to use you and speak through you.

He will not use you. You can grow up in church all your life.

And we live in a generation in the world today where people are lazy.

We moved here almost two years ago from Maryland.

It’s a great state, don’t get me wrong.

I grew up there all.

My life. I loved it.

But when I found out that I had the opportunity to, I don’t know if the word is start over.

Have new friends. It’s almost like going on a vacation when you’ve never been before, except you’re moving there. You get excited, you get excited.

And I remember watching online, saying, man, I can’t wait to be in there. I can’t wait for my first service. I’m gonna get all dressed up and nice, and I’m gonna go sit on the front row and.

I mean, every life is going to be great.

Once we moved here, however.

There were many battles that me and my family, but me personally, I had to go through.

A lot of things that not a lot.

Of people know.

It was a lot of rough times and a lot of hardships.

A lot of relationships that I had once that I once had that I thought were going to last a lifetime and they didn’t, a lot of interest changed. Mindsets changed.

Friendships lost.

I can remember going all through these things and hearing these voices.

In my head and in my ear when I was going through these things, very powerful.

Voices and they would always attack me when.

I would try to sleep.

Every time I lay my head down.

And I thought to myself, I was like after a while of doing this, why is it attacking me?

While I’m trying to sleep.

Because that’s when you’re most vulnerable.

You’re not most vulnerable standing up here singing. You’re not most vulnerable in the House of the Lord. You’re most vulnerable when you lay your head down to sleep, because that’s when your body’s trying to shut down.

I can remember trying to go to bed and feeling this.

I don’t know how to describe it, but this cold breeze that chill, I just couldn’t get warm from saying you need to go these voices saying you need to go back to Maryland.

You were moved here for a purpose. Look what you’re doing. Nothing.

You were moved here to preach the gospel and look at you. You’ve done nothing.

I had fully convinced myself that I wasn’t in the right place, that I had made a mistake. I went and I can remember telling my mom we need to go back to Maryland.

Because I can’t go, I can’t do it anymore.

I was on the edge of the Cliff and I was ready to jump.

Then one night.

I got tired of the voices.

I got tired of the lies I got into my bed in the middle of the night and I began to cry out to the Lord saying, Lord, I don’t.

Lord, I need help.

I’m suffering and I’m broken.

I have friendships that I thought were going to last a lifetime, and they’re talking bad about me.

There’s no the one place that I thought I could move here from and be safe is now becoming a place where I don’t even want to go anymore because every time I turn my back, somebody’s got something to say.

I began to rebuke the enemy, and I played the blood of the lamb over my house and my family, and I began to pray for breakthrough and for the chains to be broken and for the suffering to end. And it was only when I finally had enough and I put it all at the Lord’s feet and I laid it all down that I finally see breakthrough come that I finally see new friendships.

Come in. Then I finally see happiness come back into my life that I finally see the Lord use me for what he had called me to do and allowed him to speak through me.

When he had nothing else to give and sacrifice, he still prayed. He still held on to what the Lord had for him, and the Lord delivered him through and used him mightily.

Why are you talking to them about the supernatural Lord and savior that can save them from ******* that can save them from the worldly actions that they’re doing. My Lord and savior.
